Why are anorexia and bulimia called eating disorders?

    Anorexia and bulimia are eating disorders and a disease, however PRO-anorexics choose to do that to themselves.

    You can’t control it! Chosing to act in a certain way is just a symptom of the diseases. If you have anorexia, you may chose not to eat but that’s not the anorexia itself.
    The disease makes you chose to behave in a certain way but that doesn’t mean you’re chosing to have the illness.

    well it’s a disorder because you may START voluntarily but eventually it goes out of your control.

    It’s a disorder because a part of it is a chemical imbalance in the brain which leads the person to act out in such a way.

    It’s not just a “choice”.
