Both will work just as long as your metabolism is high.
I would just run on the spot personally in the following sequence:
a. 30 second very fast paced walk.
b. 10 second jog – medium paced
c. 10 second Sprint but lift your knees up above your waist line if possible.
d. do not stop but repeat steps a-c at least 3-4 times.
e. when you have finished you should be burning hot – now is the time to complete your situps, pressups, leg raises etc.
over time you should increase the time spent on point b-c to 30 secondes each – and reduce point a to 10 seconds.
this reduction/increase in time should be carried out over a 10 week period and you will notice a difference.
i didn’t change my diet but it still worked for me but i used to do about 300-500 situps (different varities i should add)
Both are excellent. The one that YOU will find best is the one you enjoy the most, as this is the machine you are likely to spend longer on, and work harder on. If you like them both the same then alternate between them!!
You’ll burn more fat on the treadmill, but it depends on the intensity you work out. If you walk on the treadmill and ‘run’ on the cross trainer obvioulsy that won’t be the case.
Use a combination of both machines so you don’t get bored.
