    Weight loss is a simple combination of calories in versus calories out. All weight loss programs that are worth your time are just simple diet and exercise. Eat lots of fruits and veggies, drink a lot of water, eat lean meats and high fiber carbs.
    It takes 3500 calories to gain (or lose) 1 pound. Find your RMR or BMR (there are calculators everywhere, just google it). That is what your body burns on a daily basis just being alive. Lets say its 2000. You know you can eat 2000 calories to not gain a single pound. To lose 1 pound a week you would need to eat 1500 calories. Then when you add a balance of cardio and strength training you burn even more calories.
    Slow and steady wins the race! Don’t try to do too much at one time. Good luck and make sure you get your doctor’s opinion to make sure you are healthy enough for exercise and to rule out and health issues (such as thyroid) as a reason for weight gain. Remember it isn’t about how much you lose, its about health and how you feel in your skin.
