The only thing stopping you finishing first is you… any thing is possible if you try hard enough =)
first of all i couldnt run 3 mile none stop to save my life all i was ever good at was lifting lol My friends became VERY good long distance runners by bike riding alot up hill and for long distances (builds leeg muscle ect)
Onvtredmils they would run then jog run then jog for lyk an hour on them (good for endurance for longer distance)
Eat before you run alot of pasta and 1-2 bananas for energy and carbs to keep you going.(start running about an hour after meals for best energy usage)
and most important DONT NEVER GIVE UP no matter how hard its always worth it when you get there
(im not to sure how old you are but if your 16 or above and feel like cheating haha get a energy suppliment called NO-xplode this is a nitrix oxide ssuppliment it has huge energy from caffine and makes you go like nothing before really good stuff you can get it online really easy)
have fun dont give up and WIN!!!
Yes, training harder and becoming more focused are ways to become better. Run through the pain and fatigue that you feel, that wall everyone hits, can be prolonged with training and focus…..You do not need steroids to do this either!
Broken, I don’t know about first, but you can definitely improve and probably be among the top few finishers. To a degree, there’s a specific body type which is best at running, and if you don’t have it (long legs, lean physique, little to no body fat), someone who does could probably go faster no matter how much you trained.
Putting yourself in the top ten next year, or in the spring, is a perfectly reasonable goal. A three-mile run most days of the week, speeding up when you can and slowing when you must, is all the training you’ll need. Make sure you’ve got decent shoes.
