Good luck with the diet, i am a serial dieter myself and i know it isn’t easy. Pepsi max is not fattening but i wouldn’t drink too much of it. Those artificial sweeteners are bad for you. Drink it with a meal once a day as a treat. Stick to good old fashioned water, its the best. Drinking 6/8 glasses of water per day helps speed up the metabolism as well as helping you feel full for longer. Be positive and take it one day at a time.

Yes, pop is high in calories. One can of regular pop is 110 calories. And it’s high in sugar. Which is not good for you.
Try to cut down on the pop or switch to a diet pop.

Indirectly, yes, if you let it. You see, high amounts of caffeine cause your blood sugar to raise, much like high amounts of sugar do. That “high” lasts for about 30 minutes, after which you crash and get hungry. That often leads to binging on high-carb items. Or, if you crash too soon, you’ll be too tired to get the most potential out of your workout.
I use caffeine in my fitness regime, but ONLY right before a workout, so I can ride the caffeine “high” and burn more calories. If you drink caffeine at other times of the day, you’re going to cause your blood sugar to fluctuate, which in turn causes you to eat more or to be more fatigued and not work out to your potential when it’s time to hit the gym.
If you’re addicted to soda, try drinking a caffeine-free diet soda like Diet 7-Up. Eat complex carbs during the early part of the day, lean protein and fruits/vegetables during lunch, and some lean protein and carbs before your workout to fuel you for the most potential. Safe the caffeine for when you really want a “high,” or your body won’t react the way you want it to, and you’ll be dissatisfied with your workout results.
