Some of today&#8217;s yoga exercise styles have been around for hundreds of years while other yoga exercise styles have been created and based off some of the most common <strong>yoga postures and poses</strong>. Yoga exercise styles vary in level of difficulty; almost all of the styles are broken down into beginner and advanced levels. The yoga postures used, will depend on the level of the yoga exercise style you are practicing. Each yoga exercise style has a specific purpose and uses different methods and yoga postures.</p>

It is most commonly designated as the best yoga exercise style to take part in when just beginning to practice yoga. These are because of it slow pace and ease into each of the yoga postures used during a session. This yoga exercise style uses many different areas of each <strong>style of yoga</strong>. It does this by introducing the beginner level yoga postures of each different yoga exercise style.
<p>Vinyasa is another yoga exercise style that encompasses many different styles of yoga. The word vinyasa translates to mean a series of breath synchronized movements. This yoga exercise style is more energetic than Hatha yoga. Vinyasa uses a group of yoga postures called sun salutations. Vinyasa is a yoga exercise that will start off slow with a series of sun salutation yoga postures as a method of warm up and then move into more intense yoga postures and stretches.</p><p style="float: left;margin: 4px;"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

<p>One of the more popular forms of yoga exercise used today is Ashtanga yoga. This type of yoga is also commonly referred to as Power yoga. Power yoga is one of the most intense forms of yoga exercise practiced. It involves a series of yoga postures; each of the yoga postures is always performed in the same sequence. This yoga exercise style is very physically demanding because of the pace needed to keep up in the class when switching yoga postures. It is not recommended for beginners. Bikram yoga is another of today&#8217;s most popular forms of yoga exercise. Bikram yoga is also known as hot yoga. During a hot yoga session you will complete a series of 26 yoga postures in a room that is 95 to 100 degrees. The idea behind practicing these yoga postures in a room that hot is that is acts as a way of body cleansing because of the profuse sweating one will experience. Also do yoga postures at that temperature will allow for your muscles to loosen fully, meaning you will be better able to do the yoga postures given to you.</p>
<p>It is best to consult with your doctor before deciding which yoga exercise style would be best for you. Some styles may be too strenuous to begin with.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yoga refers to traditional physical and mental disciplines originating in India. It focuses upon developing a healthy mind and body, and on attaining self-awareness. The various practices and disciplines of yoga are available to everyone, no matter what their culture or other paths they may follow. Yoga practice also involves developing awareness on a universal and personal level through the yamas and niyamas, a series of ethics and disciplines intended to cultivate living in harmony with others and in oneness with our true selves.</p>

<p>Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years and consists of ancient theories, observations and principles regarding the connection of the mind with the body. The ancient Indian sage systemized yoga philosophy into eight paths or limbs: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi. These limbs each express a different aspect of yoga and combined make up the path or yoga practice that unites the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels of our being.</p>
<p>Yama &#8211; Yama are ethical disciplines that relate to how we can live in a shared world with peace and integrity. Niyama &#8211; These disciplines relate to the individual and focus on living a healthy, fulfilled and masterful life. Asana &#8211; The word asana means ‘to be’, in the sense of being in a posture. The asanas were developed for the maintenance of a healthy mind and body, with each posture affecting the body, mind and emotions in a unique way and working as a pathway to balance and wellbeing. Pranayama &#8211; In the practice of pranayama, we develop breathing techniques that increase oxygen intake and strengthen lung capacity while also increasing the absorption of prana, or life force. In its simplest form, pranayama involves deep, full breathing. Dharana &#8211; Following on from pratyahara, dharana is the ability to be completely internally absorbed and focused. This practice of single-pointed concentration stills the mind and leads to profound quietness within. Dhyana &#8211; Following on from dharana is dhyana, or meditation – sitting where there is no focus, just stillness; no thoughts, only emptiness. Samadhi &#8211; In this state of absolute personal freedom there is union of the individual soul with the universal soul. It is the practice of living at one with all that is.</p>
<p>With regular yoga practice of yoga, you will get strength, flexibility and good health, the benefits of which flow into all aspects of life. Increased energy levels bring a new perspective on life, the increased feelings of self-love and inspiration lead us to discover talents and interests we never knew existed and problems that once seemed overwhelming become more manageable.</p>

You’ve tried the whole Gym thing, but it just wasn’t for you. The temptation to just sit in front of the TV, to curl up with a good book, or to spend a little extra time at your computer is just too big. Who wants to head to the gym right now anyway?</p>
<p><a href="http://fitnessforu.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/pilates-girl-585x320.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1383" title="pilates-girl-585x320" src="http://fitnessforu.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/pilates-girl-585x320.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="256" /></a>There are many other options to get more active that don’t include jogging, weight lifting or other “traditional” ways to work out. Here are a few ideas to get you moving</p>
<p>1) Chase your Kids around the Yard</p>
<p>You’d be surprised at how much of a work out you’ll get playing catch with your kids. Time will fly while you are having fun and your children will enjoy the extra time with you. Just get out there and play.</p>
<p>2) Turn up the Music and Dance around the Living Room</p>
<p>While you’re dusting, putting up dishes, straightening up the kids’ rooms, or after you’ve been sitting around for too long, just play some of your favorite upbeat music and dance around in the house. Not only will you get your heart rate up, but you’ll also have more fun doing some of those chores.</p>
<p>3) Plant some Flowers</p>
<p>When the weather is nice, just get out there and plant some flowers. Or you could start a little vegetable garden, trim some hedges, cut the grass, or plant a tree. You get the idea. Just get out there, enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, and play in the dirt. Yes, this actually counts as exercise in our book.</p>
<p>4) Go for a Walk with a Friend</p>
<p>Take a walk and invite a friend to come along. I’ve had some of the best conversations while on a walk. Getting to chat with a friend makes the time fly by and before you know it you’ve been walking for 30 minutes.</p>
<p>5) Listen to some Music or an Audio Book while You Walk</p>
<p>Again, keeping your mind on something else will make the time fly by and you’ll get some extra fun out of your walk. You may even want to consider getting an MP3 Player. You can easily add what you want to listen to and go for your walk.</p>
<p>6) Sign up for a Yoga or Pilates Class</p>
<p>Consider starting a yoga or Pilates class. Both of these workouts are pretty low impact and won’t leave you sweaty and sore (mostly). You may also enjoy meeting some new people in the class.</p>
<p>7) Take some Dance Lessons with your Partner</p>
<p>Ok, here is the tough part: Convince your partner to take some dance lessons. Dancing will give you quite the workout and it’s just plain fun and of course romantic. Think about all your options here. You can pick from anything from Ball Room Dancing, to Line Dancing, to Latin etc. Pick something that sounds fun to you and go for it. You’ll enjoy the extra one on one time with your partner as well.</p>

<p>Swimming makes for some great exercise. It is low impact and easy on your joints. Start by swimming a few laps, or play in the pool with your kids.</p>
<p>9) Go for a Bike Ride</p>
<p>Take the entire family on a bike ride. You can ride through your neighborhood in the evenings or plan a longer trip for the weekend. Pack a picnic for extra fun and start peddling.</p>
<p>10) Go for a Hike</p>
<p>Look for some hiking trails in your area and go for a hike. This could be a fun activity for you and a friend, or take the entire family along. Start with some easy trails and work yourself up to some longer or steeper trails.</p>
<p>Go ahead, pick one or two of the activities and get moving. I’m sure you’ll come up with plenty of versions of your own. The most important thing is to find something you enjoy, so you’ll stick with it. Get out there and get moving today.</p>

<p>There are in general 3 places you can buy your tread mill. This article describes what you should know about each. You learn the advantages and disadvantages &#8211; to help you find the best treadmill.<span id="more-354"></span></p>

<p>Large stores such as Wal-Mart, Sears, Target sell a variety of brands in their sports and fitness sections.</p>
<p>What you should know: Although these stores appear to offer more brand names, they are almost always produced by a manufacturer &#8211; Icon Health and Fitness.</p>
<p>Icon is one of the largest manufacturers in the market today and produces such brands as Proform, Weslo, Epic, Image, Nordic Track, Free Spirit and Reebok.</p>
<p>These products have many gadgets such as CD player, TV, iFit compatibility and more. However, they are not necessarily known for high quality damping, stability or durability.</p>
<p>They generally offer few guarantees. For entry level products, 90 days on parts and labor is what you get. If you want more coverage, you must pay extra for that.</p>
<p>Retailers are often not very knowledgeable about products, fitness or how to choose the right product to suit your personal needs. So if you need to buy from a store make sure you do your homework before you go.</p>
<p>Similarly, in a shop which is a stand alone sports and fitness store, you&#8217;ll usually pay extra for shipping and delivery of your product (about $ 150 &#8211; $ 200) which is an additional cost to consider.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">2. Specialty Stores Sport and Fitness </span></p>
<p>These are stores like Fitness Depot, Dick&#8217;s Sporting Goods, Sport Chalet etc.</p>
<p>What you should know: These stores offer premium brands such as Precor treadmills, Landic, trimline, Star Trac, Keys and more.</p>
<p>Technically you get more choice at these stores because the products are made by brands with more than 1 product line.</p>
<p>Sales staff are generally better informed about products at these stores and can tell you more about the model, based on your need. These vendors are often on commission and may try to influence you in purchasing a machine at a price higher than you actually need.</p>
<p>You will tend to pay for shipping and delivery of your product when you purchase from one of these stores (which could cost you $ 150-200 depending on the size of your treadmill). However, if you go online on one of these stores websites, you may be able to get a discount or free shipping.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">3. Online &#8211; direct from the manufacturer </span></p>
<p>Buying a treadmill online is an option that is increasingly popular with buyers. There are online stores that specialize in fitness and carry products from manufacturers online.</p>
<p>What you should know: manufacturers sell directly online to consumers, and pass on the margin that they would normally give to a retailer to the customer directly. As a result, customers can save up to $ 800 on a branded treadmill.</p>
<p>Shopping online is easy and convenient since you can search for brands and prices in the comfort of your living room. You have a greater choice of brands than either option above and can therefore make better purchasing decisions. You can also compare prices and features online.</p>
<p>Another bonus is that online retailers usually offer free shipping, which can also save you hundreds of dollars. There is no sales person to interact with, so you can take your time to decide, without any pressure.</p>
<p>The disadvantage of buying a treadmill online is that you cannot try out the treadmill first. Many people get around this by trying them out in the stores first and then buying online.</p>
<p>No matter where you buy your tread mill, do not forget to take your time, have fun and consider your own workout needs and budget before buying.</p>
