Her reflection is not even fat – this would have been more effective if the “reflection” was the real person, and then as her reflection, they could use an ACTUAL fat person.
Right now they’re showing a non-fat person who thinks she’s fat, and then ending with “LOL SHE’S FAT AFTER ALL”. So anyone watching who identified with the original person is not basically hearing “you are what anorexics think they are – fat”. Badly designed!

I don’t think that’s the intention. The intention is to show (what seems to be) a normal looking girl thinking she is fat. And then the zoom-out reveals that the real truth is even worse. It shows how anorexic people are unpleased with what they see in the mirror, no matter how it looks. The mirror image represents how a normal body to us, is fat to an anorexic person.
That’s a part of the point with the video you know. It’s supposed to show a normal looking girl thinking she is fat, and it turns out that she is far more dangerously skinny than she realizes. Anorectics think that even a normal healthy figure is too much, and view it as “too fat”, even though it isn’t. So the video doesn’t intend to imply that the girl in the mirror is fat.

When I first saw this “commic” did I cry. Because my body feeld like that girl in the mirror. And now, for a half year ago, did I loose 15 kilos from my body.. My weigh is now 40, and It stardet when I was 13 years old.. Now Im 14. That girl in the mirror isn’t fat at all! She’s more beautiful than the other girl! No one wants a skinny girl like that! That is sad… =(

I actually think that this is a horrible ad
because that girl in the mirorr is NOT the definition of ffat,
yes, she could loose weight, or she may be chubby,
but this shows girls that if they look like that then, your automatically fat.

in my opinion a girl in mirror is fat( a bit or more ? ) but the real girl is too thin , she’s even pretty ( because she’s thin : o ). If I have to choose i will choose thinner girl. It’s better get fat than loosing kilos

Se trouver grosse sa HAHA toutes les filles presque le pense, mais de là à se faire limite creuver.Des demoiselles toute maigres se plaignent d’être ronde. -_-’ C’est désobligeant aussi pour les autres de dire qu’on est grosse vu que les gens vont s’identifier à vous et vont se trouver gros. Et quelques rondeurs ne fait pas de mal =)C’est beaucoup plus joli qu’une file toute maigre avec des baguette à la place des jambes croyez-moi j’en connais des comme sa. B’soux x)
C’est juste, les remarques de Papa qui peuvent sembler anodines touchent énormément, peut être ont elles contribué à ce que je suis aujourd’hui.

Si vous êtes père de famille, ne faites jamais aucun commentaire sur le physique de votre fille concernant sa grosseur. Peut importe son âge. Jamais. Tant mieux si elle est grassette. On ne meurt pas avec quelques livres en trop. On est juste plus belle et heureuse.
Je vais peut-être sauver des vies avec ce message.
