I need to get in fairly good shape and, due to injury orthopedic operation is not an option

Thus, the plan is to combine cycling and swimming in open water to get there
Open water because I hate swimming in the polls, too boring.

Thank you

Depends how fast you ride the bike….gears etc, road bike vs mtn bike. personally I reall dont care for swimming for pretty much the same reason tooo boring. But its my understanding that it is actually even better for CV fitness than running is.

I don’t know about the speeds, but my personal observation over lots of years of doing all three is that 1 unit swimming = 4 units running = 10 units cycling. You can make the units yards, kilometers, miles, whatever.
This is somewhat verified if you look at the race times of competitive athletes in all three.
